Iceland Volcanic Eruption

The last time this volcano erupted was in 2004. In 2010, plumes of ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano caused weeks of air travel chaos across Europe. Officials say that the lastest eruption is unlikely to cause similar effects, but a flight ban has been imposed over the area.

I think that the flight ban is a great idea because even though it's not as big as last years yet it still could erupt out of nowhere and take out airplanes. Also it should be monitored very closely for any sign of change in the activity, and if there is the people of towns near it should be warned.

Acid Rain Article

Gases: Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

Source of Acid Rain: These two gases mix with rainwater and fall to the ground as acid rain.

Formation of Acid Rain: Acid rain forms when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere combine with water to form sulfuric acid and nitric acid, respectively. These acids, mixed with rainwater, fall to Earth as acid rain, snow or fog and can acidify lakes and streams in the Northeast.
